Nokia is hot this week.  First they show us the exclusive trailer to Batman The Dark Knight Rises.  Then they give us the bad news by telling us that the current Windows Phone line up including the flagship, Lumia 900, will not update to Windows Phone 8 OS.  Finally they put a smile on our face as they say all Lumia phone will be getting a bunch of new apps they showcased today at the Microsoft Windows Phone Summit event.

Here are the highlights below:

  • Nokia Play To: share content on your phone onto DLNA capable HDTV or home stereo.
  • Nokia Counters: monitor phone usage of talk time, messaging, data and set limits.
  • Nokia Camera Extras: Self-Timer, Action Shot, Panorama, Smart-Group Shot.
  • Nokia Transport:  helps you manage your trips and get an improved access to information while on transit.
  • Nokia Drive: monitors your commute and makes a not of all the different routes you take.
