Microsoft Debuts First Tablet, Surface with Windows RT/Pro [Price Included]

Last night Microsoft had a mysterious event in Los Angeles in which they unveiled their beautiful Surface tablet shown above.  Surface will come in two trims.  One will pack ARM processor and run WIndows RT, Surface.  The higher trim will pack Intel core i5 and run Windows 8 Pro.  These tablets will be competing against Apple’s iPad 3 and so far one can favor Microsoft Surface.   • ARM Processor  with Nvidia Tegra 3

  • USB 2.0, MicroUSB HD Video out, 2×2 MiMO Antenne
  • Touch Cover – Microsoft’s Attachable Full QWERTY Keyboard

  • Available when Windows 8 gets unveiled.

  • Intel Core i5 “Ivy Bridge.”
  • 13.5mm Thin and weighs in at 903 grams.
  • 32GB/64GB/128GB built-in storage (Expandable with microSDXC)
  • USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort, MicroUSB HD Video out, 2×2 MiMO Antenne
  • Touch Cover – Microsoft’s Attachable Full QWERTY Keyboard
  • Price: $999
  • Available 3 months after Surface is released.

Update June 26th:

Bloomberg also reports that the first available Surface models will be Wi-Fi-only, so these prices most probably will go even higher for the 3G equipped versions. [GSMArena via Bloomberg]
