Netflix Recommendation for the week: Donnie Yen’s Flash PointBy Staff

Donnie Yen - Flash Point

So just the past week on June 30th, Hong Kong celebrated 15 years since its handover from UK to China. Would you like to know how things were just before the handover? Check out FlashPoint. Its a movie about Vietnamese and Chinese triads battling for territory. But in the way of their business is a hardboiled Detective Ma, played by Donnie Yen. Movie is action packed from the beginning to the end!  Towards the end, it is almost like watching a UFC fight!

Action masters Wilson Yip and Donnie Yen deliver nonstop martial arts thrills in this tale of triad gang warfare in pre-handover Hong Kong. Reckless Detective Ma (Yen) threatens the careful work of his partner, Wilson (Louis Koo), who’s finally infiltrated a notorious triad gang. As the operation begins to collapse, Ma enters the fray to go one-on-one against the triad leader (Collin Chou) before he takes over the streets. [Netflix]
