The new Pomegranate NS08 Phone is presented to you by the Nova Scotian government, which if your not up to date on your geography is a providence in Canada. With the support of its people, the providence launced the website pomegranate phone to promote their unique and possibly revoluntary idea. So whats so special about this phone?
Well Nova Scotia claims that in addition to the usual calls, email, internet, mp3 player, camera and keyboard, it can also do things like:
-make you coffee
-serve as a projector
-shave your beard
-serve as a harmonica
If your reading this and thinking it sounds crazy then your not alone. Chances are the truth is that the people of Nova Scotia just made this website, in an attempt to draw publicity and interest in their providence:
The website is part of the Nova Scotian government’s “Come to Life” ad campaign, which hopes to build interest in the province virally through nontraditional means, a spokesman for the campaign said in an e-mail. And an imaginary cellphone would certainly classify as nontraditional. (LA TIMES)
Too bad they didn’t consider the fact that Google will probably see this phone, and make it in a matter of weeks. Here are some clips of the features:
Someone should make this phone. Then everyone will go out and buy it, use it to make coffee once in a 2 year period, project videos of what it is like to shave your beard in the morning, and then translate everything you say into Japanese.
Hopefully you are now convinced to go and visit the Nova Scotia providence of Canada.
