Samsung Omnia II (I8000): Vivid AMOLED DisplayBy qwerty

samsung omnia

The Samsung Omnia II is the newest touchscreen phone to be available exclusively on Verizon. The AMOLED Display allows for ultra-brilliant clarity,  making images sharper and more defined as well as completely viewable under direct sunlight.  The new Touch-Optimized User Interface seems to make the touchscreen extra responsive to the finger, which is an excellent feature since many other touchscreen phones fail in the ease of use department.  It will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 and comes equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity. Here are some spec highlights:

  • Dimensions: 118 x 59.6 x 11.9 mm
  • Connectivity: 3G, A-GPS, EDGE, GPRS, HSDPA, HSUPA, Bluetooth, A2DP, WLAN
  • Display Size: 3.7 inch
  • Operating System: Windows Mobile

This is such a good phone indeed. I missed it by few months, I like the enhanced features and navigation it has over the Memoir.
It’s really a good phone!
